- NEWS I FIND INTERESTING
Having said that, I don’t make it a point to disrespect soldiers who are only doing their duty. I might not agree with it, but I respect their choice to serve. My father and Uncle served in Korea, my other Uncle served in Vietnam, and my Mother’s brother fought in World War II at the battle of Normandy. By the time I turned 18, I could have served during the Gulf War, but by then, the draft was long over and I had no interest in participating in a war that did nothing but protect our oil interests abroad.
But again, I have nothing against anyone who did. Now, anyone who reads this and was or is currently serving that thinks I’m taking a huge, steaming dump on you, I’m not. I am aware of how hard it is to be a soldier, and I can only imagine what some of you guys have lived through. I think if you serve and make it back, you deserve every benefit that this country rightfully owes you.
The Republicans love to say how much they love the military, but if that’s the case, then why do they continually put you in harm’s way and treat you like used garbage when you come home? I dunno about you, but that pisses me off. I’m not saying the Democrats are much better, but at least they’ve been of more help.
I think it’s despicable how Donald Trump treats the soldiers in this country. He struts around the White House like some tin-pot dictator, insulting military families and making fun of war heroes, people who have actually sacrificed blood for us. You guys may as well be a bunch of mall security guards for all he cares.
I can’t believe the tangerine twatwaffle has the nerve to claim that he knows more than his generals do and that he has more military training than most soldiers do. Please. I’d be impressed if he could to a single push-up. He doesn’t even know why we don’t use nukes, for God’s sake! I dunno about you, but I live every day in fear that he has his finger on the button. I wouldn’t trust him with a water pistol and a pack of firecrackers.
Does anyone in the armed services take this guy seriously? God knows I wouldn’t. I would go to Leavenworth with a smile on my face if it meant that I could kick him in the balls so hard he spit up blood and pubic hair. Tammy Duckworth totally called it when she gave him the nickname, “Cadet Bone Spurs.” Four deferments to avoid the draft, for crying out loud! Say what you want about me, but if I were drafted, I wouldn’t run- I would answer the call. Yet Trump had the nerve to compare his sex life in the ’80s to service in Vietnam. What an asshole! If ANYBODY deserves a scorching case of herpes, it’s him.
Trump talks tough, but he’s a coward at heart. If he had been a prisoner of war like John McCain, I’m sure he would’ve done everything short of rimming the entire Vietcong if it meant he could go home. I mean, I never had a whole lot of love for McCain, but at least I respected the guy and thought of him as a patriot, especially after he saved Obamacare and gave Trump the finger in death by not having him at his funeral. I wouldn’t want him anywhere near me, either.
Now he’s got the army wasting time and resources at the border doing a job ICE and the National Guard should be doing. To make matters worse, he skipped out on honoring World War I vets in France and blew off Veterans Day. I mean, how much more disrespect can one group take? I’m actually surprised there hasn’t been an armed insurrection already.
Look, I’m not going to tell you guys what to think or who you should follow. I know perfectly well you don’t have a choice in the matter. But if you think Trump is a born leader and an example of strength, then maybe you should question what you’re fighting for, because it ain’t the United States.
For those who are serving this country despite Trump because you want to protect it from him, thank you for your service. You are the heroes this country desperately needs.
