If the UK fails to reach a Brexit deal, the Queen of England may well be at an undisclosed location in just a few weeks, if her nation fails to reach a Brexit deal and the streets erupt in violence.

Two prominent Sunday papers say Britain has re-activated Cold War plans to evacuate Her Majesty should things get ugly, and that should send alarm bells throughout the island nation.

“These emergency evacuation plans … have now been repurposed in the event of civil disorder following a no-deal Brexit…”

…says the Sunday Times, which also quotes an official as saying the evacuation seems “extremely unlikely.”

According to the New York Times, this as Britons are said to be hoarding medicines, groceries, and other items ahead of the March 29 Brexit-deal deadline.

In January, 92-year-old Queen Elizabeth II gave a speech that many took as a message to bickering lawmakers to find a middle ground on Brexit, although it’s not clear if they really got the message.

As for her evacuation, details are understandably scarce—but Politico.eu notes that the royal family’s original escape plan involved either escape by yacht or behind locked doors in “one or more country homes.”

Over 17 million were thinking ‘we don’t want to be a part of an EU empire governed by a central EU government’

Though I voted ‘remain’ for the benefit of the young, who generally wished to, I certainly have no desire to live in an undemocratic empire.

Comparing the USA to a United States of Europe is a flawed analogy.

The EU will either fail or become an undemocratic empire.

For democracies sake I hope it is the former.

The Royal Yacht is now permanently moored in Edinburgh. I don’t think it’s an option. But it all sounds like BS to me. This whole damned goat rodeo is a good argument for giving power back to the Queen anyway.

Isn’t that why they live in palaces and have castles and shit? Maybe they can all go lock themselves up in that tower they have there.
