Donald Trump, Twitter, and Transparency

Read Time:4 Minute, 49 Second

Donald Trump is a bloody idiot.

While that should pretty much cover any number of topics I could write about in regards to our ‘president’, I decided that from now on, every article I write about him will begin with those six words. That way, you won’t have to ask yourself, “Dear God- What has he said or done now?”

But before I do that, I just wanted to answer a question asked by my friend and fellow MMA collaborator, Neil Bamforth. He asked, “What could be so bad about Donald Trump that everyone on the left hates him so much? I don’t understand!” That’s easy, Neil. Just re-read the first sentence of this article. I honestly don’t know what passes for stupidity in England; even the thickest Brit has an IQ higher in the triple digits than your average Trump supporter. If you need a comparison to a British counterpart, just picture Boris Johnson with a lobotomy. I hope that helps.

This week, God-Emperor Shitgibbon summoned Twitter CEO and spineless jellyfish Jack Dorsey to bend the knee, plant his lips on the royal butt-cheek, and offer an explanation as to why his follower count has dropped by 300,000 followers and why his favorite venue for his daily airing of grievances was being mean to other conservative boot-lickers. Dorsey explained that it had to do with Twitter’s ongoing efforts to get rid of bots and fake accounts.

Come on, really? Did Dorsey seriously think he was gonna get off that easily? In the words of Mister T, I pity the fool. Obviously, he really has no idea whom he’s dealing with. It has been shown time and again that Trump does not live in the same reality the rest of us do. In his mind, he thinks he’s the most popular and successful president in American history. He thinks world leaders actually respect him. He thinks people actually showed up at his inauguration in record numbers and that his wife actually loves him and not his money.

Trump truly believes that Twitter is actively undermining his popularity because he has less followers than President Obama. I hate to burst his bubble, but I guess he doesn’t realize that most people (who aren’t mentally retarded,) HATE HIS GUTS. Then, there’s also the fact that a lot of the people who do follow him HATE HIS GUTS and only follow him so that they can mock him for whatever new dumb thing he writes. Trump doesn’t seem to realize that he doesn’t just invite abuse, he invites it engraved on a gold invitation and served up on a silver platter. I don’t have to wonder if he’s a masochist, I just have to wonder where his S & M gear is stored in the White House. I think I just figured out how Melania makes her money.

If I were Jack Dorsey, I would have declined the invite to see Trump. I would have told him, “Look here- I don’t work for you, and you don’t own Twitter! If you have a complaint, tell it to the services department like everyone else!” But Dorsey won’t do that, because he has no balls. Trump violates Twitter’s rules on hate speech on a daily basis, and Twitter doesn’t so much as suspend his account for a lousy five minutes. When he tweeted a doctored video of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D. Minn) intercutting images of 9/11 and comments from a speech she made that were used out of context, Dorsey refused to take it down even though it resulted in death threats being made to Rep. Omar. Dorsey’s excuse was that the American public has a vested interest in listening to what the president has to say.

You know what, Dorsey? We really don’t. If Trump somehow miraculously lost his motor skills and his ability to speak, I guarantee you, a lot of us would be grateful. Some of us might even start going back to church.

Why is Twitter so afraid of muzzling Trump, anyway? Where’s he gonna go? It’s not like he’s going to suddenly fly the coop and run to Facebook. For one thing, Facebook allows us to ignore him and besides, there’s no limit to how many characters you can use. Trump’s attention span can’t process that many thoughts at one time. Is Dorsey paranoid that Trump will revive Myspace back from the dead?

I think the thing that made me laugh the most this week was Trump making the claim that he was ‘the most transparent president ever’. I suppose it’s true in the context of how he continually browbeats us with news about his next foray into stupidity through Twitter or one of his equally idiotic surrogates. Say what you want about Trump, but when he decides to screw over the American public, he does it out in the open. He’s also the most transparent in that (unless you’re one of the walking brain-dead,) you can see right thru his bullshit lies.

Yeah, he’s transparent right up until you ask to see his taxes, medical records, grades, or pretty much anything that might verify anything he claims to be true about himself.

I don’t think it should be much of a surprise to anyone (except Trump, apparently,) that Obama has twice the followers he does. Obama was the last great American president we had. Hell, Kim Kardashian has more Twitter followers than Trump. Must be the tits and ass. Trump just has tits and is an ass. Th-th-that’s all, folks!

His parents once had him tested for Tourette's, but when the doctor came back with his results, he said, "No, he's fine. Your son is just an a**hole!" It's been downhill ever since. He lives like the Unabomber, only without the explosives. Feel free to contact him provided you can actually locate him. Just keep in mind that he'll probably make fun of you to your face. We here at MMA can't stand him, so if you want him, he's all yours!

He complains regularly about them. Gets in a real state as I understand it.

I always wonder whether anyone ever tells Trump about all the negative comments he gets on his tweets. He obviously doesn’t read them. Maybe his staff hides them somehow, LOL. I hardly see any supportive ones anymore because those were probably all bots!

Sarcasm is really hard through online discussion sometimes isn’t it? Now begone I am singing and dancing along with Stevie Nicks at her Rock and Roll hall of fame induction since I missed it last night.

Speak for yourself about the whole going back to church thing. I gave it up for Lent that one year and so far it’s worked for me ;). Dorsey is making money and till he does not, he will allow dolt45 to keep on keeping on.
