Crazy Jon Voight Thinks Trump Is the Greatest Since Lincoln

by Michael John Scott

Jon Voight, the less than relevant eighty year old father of Angelina Jolie, took to Twitter on Friday night to proclaim his love of President Trump in a pair of videos that said the president’s job “is not easy” as he has to fight “the left and their absurd words of destruction,” though he has “made his every move correct.”

Further, per the Huffington Post, Voight urged viewers to not “be fooled by the political left, because we are the people of this nation that is witnessing triumph. So let us stand with our president, let us stand up for this truth that President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”

Newsweek reports that taking exception to Voight’s point of view was Alyssa Milano, who’s been vocal in the wake of recent abortion laws.

In a single tweet, she advised him to “Stay in your lane, Jon!,” called him a “Has been!,” an “F-lister trying to stay relevant!” and advised him that “Nobody cares what an out of touch actor thinks!”

Bottom line: Jon Voight played alongside Dustin Hoffman in Midnight Cowboy in 1969, and he hasn’t done anything of note since.

There are so many things I struggle in vain to understand. Most are about math and physics and cosmology and the like, but the hardest thing is figuring out any basis whatever for this Trumpustrian triumphalism, this sense of victory and accomplishment the Trumpers feel. It’s too easy to write it off to stupidity. It’s worse I think than the things that show up at your door all thrilled and excited to tell you about the “good news.”

Right after the election, several people showed up at my club wearing T shirts proclaiming that now they could say Merry Christmas again.

Maybe we have to revisit the premise behind psychology – that there is something called sanity of which a significant percentage of us are possessed; that it’s normal. I think history shows that we are defined by willful ignorance, dangerous fantasy, irrational fear – and are far more tenacious of it all than of demonstrable reality. It’s important because democracy depends entirely on something we don’t seem to have much of and often despise.

Glenn…I have had the same conversation with several people. The delusion boggles the mind. Faux News has a lot to do with it, I have challenged a number of them on a supposed victory on an issue. When you school them with the fact’s, they literally look at you they are in a fog. If you challenge them to give them the “facts” they have, they have none. Every time I have pushed them farther on where they got that information, it never fails Faux News…..

I have no use for Voight. He is much like Trump in many ways. Narcissistic and he greatly overstates his talents, and still considers. I think his best role was getting eaten by the snake in “Anaconda”. He would be right at the top of the “Hell no” list on the question of would you buy a used car from this man.
He and Trump even look alike in many ways. But only a narcissist could give platitudes to Trump who is the Narcissist in Chief.
