Phrases and Philosophies Exclusively For Republicans

I fashion myself as a modern day Oscar Wilde so please indulge me in my choice of title. Provided MadMike doesn’t alter it to include Trump’s name and a question mark.

The left has it’s catch phrases and for the most part, they don’t work very well. Nobody who isn’t already a left leaning commie is swayed to vote for a Democrat by any of them. The term “freedom of choice” the left wears out when defending abortion rights is tired and doesn’t sway anyone. Proof of this at pro life rallies is overwhelming. Bigger part of the crowd is women holding signs and the young ones crying over a picture of a fetus. The truth is more Americans don’t want choice. They want to be told what to do. They want to be told there is only one God and He is watching over us and answers they’re prayers.

When reminded that our Founders wanted separation of church and state the only sentence they seem to recall from our founding documents is from the Declaration of Independence saying we have certain unalienable rights endowed by The Creator. Or they cite The Pledge of Allegiance which didn’t say “under God” till the fifties. That there is no evidence to support our Nation being “under God” any more than England being “under God” because one of their patriotic songs is “God Save the Queen” which I understand is also popular at Gay gatherings, I guess Gays can claim to be “under God” as well, we can safely say smart and educated are qualities unimportant to Republicans.

These qualities are replaced by the phrase “common sense.” It’s popular for rank and file Republicans to detest what we refer to as “college educated idiots” while praising ourselves for having common sense. If Barack Obama hadn’t been so damn smart and college educated and black and a Republican we would have liked him. We still wouldn’t have voted for him but at least he’d be liked by lemmings with common sense.

The great phrase “looking out for us” is what we use to describe Republican leaders whom we know couldn’t give a rat’s behind about anything but themselves but we vote for them anyway. We justify it by using meaningless nonsense to describe anyone who may actually be , or want to, look out for us but has a D by their names on a ballot. The farmers are great examples of this behavior. I know plenty of farmers. I think two of them are Democrats. The rest vote straight Republican no matter what. One of the phrases they use constantly that have no meaning is “taking money out of my pocket.” Of course President Trump is sticking it to them real good with his China policy. But he has promised 28 billion dollars in aid to farmers. A promise they love to hear even though it’s doubtful much of it will actually appear.

The reality is the trade war is part of an end game for Trump’s wealthy real estate buddies. As Trump said, he loves downturns. He’s able to buy great property cheap. And what rich guy whose into farmland wouldn’t want to have a bunch of it available on the cheap? Folks, I’m looking at some companies that do this type of thing now as an investment. As a Republican, my first duty is to profit, not a whiny farmer who will still say Trump is looking out for him while the bank forecloses on his farm. But heck, the company I own stock in just bought the farm for half of what it’s worth and if the farmer is lucky we may hire him to farm it for us. Hopefully it’s in a state with a low minimum wage. Or we’ll just call him a “manager” and pay him the lowest salary we can get away with. If he has common sense he can survive and if he listens to Dave Ramsey he will be a millionaire one day.

Use of the term “witch hunt” has really been in vogue since Trump took office. We of course love the phrases “back the blue” and “support law enforcement.” But that’s only when it comes to arresting people we don’t want around our neighborhoods. Any law enforcement stuff regarding the types of crime wealthy and powerful white people commit are referred to as “witch hunts.” These innocent patriots and “job creators” another useful phrase. They deserve to be left in peace rather than harassed by the “deep state.”

I just saw that a Republican Congressman derailed an infrastructure bill. The bill even had Trump’s blessing. Many think the guy that delayed the bill is doing it out of some loyalty to Trump or fiscal concerns. That’s a laugh. Nixon was the last Republican that gave any heed to anything fiscally responsible. The real reason the guy delayed it was because most rank and file Republicans don’t know what the word “infrastructure” means. To them it’s just another high fallutin word used by college educated idiot. The guy that delayed the bill may have thought this as well.

One doesn’t have to be an uneducated idiot to be a Republican office holder but it sure helps if one can think like one. He merely wanted the name of the bill changed to something easily understood by simpletons. Even if it’s misleading. Change the name of the bill to the American Street Building Act and no Republican would vote against it. Had Obama called Obamacare something like “The Loyal Healthy American Act” we’d have single payer health insurance right now. So as long as we have the words “American” Freedom” “Family” or “Patriot” in any of our bills we’re good to go.

Making America great again by any means necessary. That’s our plan. You’re either with us or against us. We will fight for freedom and the Constitution. Anyone that stands in our way will be prosecuted for not understanding what real freedom is. May God save the President.

Good write up, Joe. Though if I were contemplating being a Republican, I would run away screaming. Today’s Republicans are a lot different than those of days gone by. Hell, Barry Goldwater would be considered a liberal today.

The original title was great and made far more sense. Other than this is another masterpiece.
