Trump Understands the Stupidity of His Base

It’s no secret that Trump’s support base is 99% bigots, homophobes and religious zealots. The only people that don’t get that are the bigots, homophobes and religious zealots that make up 99% of Trump’s base.
In keeping with liberal dogma, and I continue to be a part of the large chorus of liberal website contributors that feel the need to mention Trump’s base of kooks. The difference between me and most of them, most of whom get far more attention than I do, is I know this is nothing new. I also know Trump’s base isn’t going to grow.
The other thing I get is how Trump really feels about his deplorable fan club. Trump understands these are people incapable of serious thought on any matter. Trump knows he has to keep his message simple or they will quickly forget it or dismiss it. In matters of the Constitution Trump’s base can’t get past the words “We the People.” The rest doesn’t matter as it would require reading. It’s enough work for a Trump supporter to pore over the menu at McDonalds.
This means in order to keep his base on his side and willing to vote, which is difficult for them as sometimes ballots have several candidates, fortunately for them all they have to do is check by whatever candidate has the R by his name, Trump has to send out a tweet every hour reminding them he doesn’t like Muslims and Mexicans and any other minority group that his base dislikes.
Trump can’t go a day without several tweets espousing hate of something he’s conditioned his voters to hate or he risks dropping in his poll numbers. That’s alot of work. Amazing he has time to buy Greenland or call Putin reminding him of their agreement not to release the golden shower tape or anything else embarrassing to Trump. As well as carrying on his love affair with the chubby kook from North Korea. It’s frankly amazing he has time for anything presidential and keeping Melania satisfied. But Trump says he’s a smart guy and doesn’t need much sleep. Still has to be frustrating to his poor wife who when finally steeling her nerve enough to do naughty stuff with her husband the poor guy has to stop and send a tweet about a Muslim. That’s gotta kill a mood.
But Trump has to do this to keep his base voters in line. He know’s they’re stupid and attention span is small. Like Trump’s hands. That’s what some people are saying, like Marco Rubio.
I figure Trump has a deal working with Putin over Greenland. Trump is smart in a few things. He knows how to get idiots and blackmailers to lend him money. Some people are saying. But I doubt he knows much about Greenland. he probably figures with a name like Greenland it’s be a good place for a golf course. But it has great resources and great fishing and great strategic location. Just what Putin wants. And Putin has shown he can attack America with out firing a shot. At very little cost to his country. His chicanery helped elect Trump.
Now his possible chicanery may well get Trump to buy Greenland and turn its resources over to Russia. Trump’s good at outsmarting the stupid. That doesn’t bode well for the population of America seeing as how around 40% of us approve of this joker. On the other hand, maybe Trump isn’t even as smart as I think he is as it may well have been Putin all along.
As a proud American I think I’ll stick with the Trump who isn’t as dumb as we think he is. In fact we can be proud that we elected our first Russian president. And as Trump would tweet, that proves we aren’t bigots. We elected a Russian, didn’t we?
