An Open Letter To Jim Bakker About His Fake War On Christmas

Dear “Rev.” Jim Bakker:

I see you are still at it and I am not just referencing your latest lie either, telling people on your show that should “things go the other direction, even Christmas will be outlawed.” Heck, your voice sounds like the other knuckle-dragging supposed “Christians in this nation who actually believe their faith is under attack.”

Yet, the facts do not bear these statements out, now do they? Sure they don’t! Making matters worse, your statements are nothing but an outright lie as part of your manipulative plan to scare people into voting for conservative lawmakers like Trump, and others who will aid and abet his criminality. How “Christ-Like” of you.

You do know what the good Book says about lying now, don’t you? Okay, I’ll help.

“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.” (Proverbs 12:22).

So pray tell: How do you live with yourself manipulating people constantly? You fleeced your flock back in 1984 by having an affair with Jessica Hahn, paying her $350,000 in hush money, oversold Heritage U.S.A, was found guilty on ALL TWENTY-FOUR COUNTS the government charged you with and were ordered to pay a $500,000 fine and spend 45 years in prison. But that did not happen now, did it? Why is that?

Because you argued on appeal that the Judge’s religious convictions interfered with his sentencing of you. Now, how ironic is THAT? You who argue that judges should be allowed to instill a theocratic form of government, ensuring those scriptures which you pull out of the Bible become law, is much like me going to the Golden Corral only to choose those items I wish to consume.

The difference between me engaging in that act at the Golden Corral, and you selecting only those scriptures which you claim are of utmost importance for people to follow – usually those outside our flock – is that you are engaging in “cafeteria Christianity,” which is in no wise condoned or endorsed by the very scriptures you supposedly preach from. In addition, you are manipulating people by advocating for laws to be implemented to favor your flavor of “god.”

Also, it proves once again: that your health and wealth “prosperity” preachers along with the most vocal evangelical supporting preachers of our day believe the rules do not apply to you.

You do recall:

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:16-17). Notice Jimmy; that verse does not say “some scripture,” but “ALL scripture.”

Why is this important? Because if you had followed the Word versus seeking the satisfying of you and Tammy Fae’s worldly desires, you would in no wise rip off thousands upon thousands of those who actually believed you were a real man of God, only to find out how big a fraud you are.

It is clear that you have learned nothing from your encounter with the law, given that you promoted Trump relentlessly on your show. After all, birds of a feather do flock together, don’t they? Sure do. Then, while promoting Trump on your shows, you also promoted buckets of slop for food, preparing your viewers for the Apocalypse.

And when you were done selling those buckets, what did you turn to then? You reminded those viewers that those buckets will come in handy to take a cr@p. I swear: The gullibility of the modern evangelical movement astounds me to this day.  When modern-day pastors have resorted to selling buckets for people to poop in, well let’s just say we have lost any legitimacy of claim here. But be assured, THAT is on you.

Which leads to my conclusion: You really just need to shut up. There is no War on Christmas, never has been, and never will be. People in this nation are more than free to express the holiday however THEY see fit; not the manner in which you dictate, and certainly not taking the bait from a fraudster like yourself.

How you have managed to stay out of prison since your release is beyond my understanding.

But do know this, especially since you publicly call yourself a Christian the following applies to you:  “It is appointed unto man once to die and after this the judgment.”
