Turns Out Conservatives Actually Do Believe In Evolution

Evolution has many definitions, however, I want to focus on just one of those definitions today? Evolution is defined as follows: “An unfolding, opening out, or working out; process of development, as from a simple to a complex form.”
Why do I bring evolution up today? Glad you asked. I bring it up due to the fact that conservatives argue strenuously against the notion that evolution is the driving force of changes we witness in organisms.
Despite this position, however, conservative Republicans and actually the entire freaking party has demonstrated that they DO actually believe in the notion of evolution. How do we know? Again; glad you ask.
The Republican defense of Donald Trump engaging in what the majority of logically thinking Americans as extortion, bribery, and abuse of power when he withheld aid to Ukraine in exchange for “dirt on Joe Biden,” and wanting to re-frame the well-established fact that Russians interfered with the 2016 election, has EVOLVED.
Here are just twenty-two of their positions held – as reported by the Washington Post – since the issue has been brought to the attention of the public due to a whistle-blower doing his or her patriotic duty.
(1) “Trump’s July 25 call with Ukraine’s President was appropriate.” (Rep. Brad Wenstrup R-Ohio).
(2) “There was no quid pro quo.” (Rep. Michael McCaul R- Texas).
(3) “The July 25 call was inappropriate but not impeachable.” (Rep. Mac Thornberry, R- Texas).
(4) “Trump was his opinion on the July 25 call.” (Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D).
(5) “Even if it was a quid pro quo it was not a corrupt quid pro quo.” (Sen. John Kennedy, R-LA).
(6) “Even if there was a quid pro quo, this happens in foreign policy.” (Sen. Rand Paul, R-KY).
(7) “Trump was unaware of the quid pro quo.” (Rep. Mark Meadows, R- NC).
(8) “Trump is incapable of a quid pro quo.” (Sen. Lindsey Graham R-SC).
(9) “Trump’s public call for Ukraine and China to investigate the Bidens was not serious.” (Sen. Roy Blount, R-MO).
(10) “Interpreting Trump’s actions amount to ‘differences of opinion.'” (Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R- CA).
(11) “The Whistleblower complaint was based on hearsay.” (Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-SC).
(12) “The Whistleblower complaint was inaccurate.” (Rep. Steve Scalise, R-LA).
(13) “The Whistleblower has a political bias.” (Rep. Steve Scalise, R-LA).
(14) “The Whistleblower is part of the ‘Deep State.'” (Sen. Josh Hawley, R-MO).
(15) “The impeachment inquiry is a ‘secret and unfair process.'” (Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-FL).
(16) “Trump has no due process rights.” (Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-KY).
(17) “Ukraine said there was no pressure.” (Rep. Jim Jordan, R-OH).
(18) “Ukraine did not agree to any investigations.” (Rep. Jim Jordan, R-OH).
(19) “Ukraine did not know security aide was held up.” (Rep. Jim Jordan, R-OH).
(20). “Ukraine ultimately got the security aide.” (Rep. Steve Scalise, R-LA).
(21). “Impeachment is a coup d’etat.” (Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-CA).
(22). “Democrats wanted to impeach Trump as soon as he was elected.” (Rep. Michael Turner, R-OH).
So, as you can see: Republicans obviously DO believe in evolution. That is, they are attempting to make “complex” that which is simple. Trump withheld appropriated money from Congress – which served as an aide to one of our foreign allies – in exchange for an investigation attempting to uncover “dirt on Joe Biden,” while also trying to revise the historical intrusion Russians made into our 2016 election.
They have persisted in denying the very real truth that Donald J. Trump engaged in an abusive power. And, they have done so by constantly changing their position on the entire matter. That is, they – the conservatives across this land – have devolved as opposed to evolved.
Yet, not a single one of these lawmakers have denied that Trump actually did something that is against our democratic norms in this country.
Never forget these lawmakers.

A moving target is harder to hit and as the public has a short attention span, the alleged malfeasance fades away quickly. And all the time the screaming, the distraction, the blatant lies continue. By November no one will remember what it’s all about, except that the Bidens are crooks along with Hillary and this will have only been about the “Liberal media” who hate Trump just because.
Everything evolves.
