All Is NOT Well When A Thug Occupies the Oval Office
If I am placing an article like this on my Facebook wall, you can bet your bottom dollar that the messages are still flowing. The question, however, is why? Facebook has no issue allowing Mr. Trump to advertise with misleading claims, and in Mark Zuckerberg’s words, the corporation will act “only if the ads are a danger to the public.”
Me? Well, yesterday I printed two breaking stories: First, when the first missile strike occurred which was launched by the nation of Iran to our military base in Iraq. Then, I posted an additional breaking post which covered the “second wave of missiles” launched by Iran to yet another military base. Finally, I posted a meme which states the obvious: Mr. Trump started this entire mess by withdrawing from the Iran deal – which I should add – every single expert went on record to indicate Iran was complying with the deal, and despite this, Mr. Trump decided to withdraw because—Obama.
So forgive me for pointing out how questionable it becomes when those of us who do not support the man’s POLICIES point out how this all began with him only for the conservatives in our respective networks to speak out on the commendable skills of the fire-putter-outer when he started the danged fire in the first place.
I am so tired of hearing from folks how I “need to “learn what it means to be an American,” or “that I need to support this President because our troop’s lives are – arguably so – at risk. I support our military. I support our country.
What I don’t support is the blatant hypocrisy which is appearing all over social media and brought to my doorstep via email or messenger.
I also do not like it when the current occupant of our Oval Office acts like a thug with world affairs telling Iraq, should they demand we leave, they will be paying, or worse, his Tweet sent out after those two missile strikes saying “All is Well,” when our troops are sitting in the line of fire. I cannot even fathom what those troop’s families were experiencing hearing those words last night.
It is perfectly legitimate, and admirable in my estimation to question the status quo. After all, that is precisely what our Nation’s founders did when they spawned a revolution. And if publicly writing is a crime, then you had better lump another man in with the crowd – Abraham Lincoln – for he himself used writing to “shape public opinion.”
If you will take the time to read your history versus sending me ‘hate’ mail, you might actually learn that yourselves.

Amazing, we have a President where, the press, count HIS LIES…the latest is like 14,000……….Honorable, i say, not
I so agree with you. Don’t ever stop speaking out. When we stop defending the ‘exceptionalism’ on which America was built to strive for, then we’ve stopped being patriots.

Did anyone see that screwed up speech? Even his makeup was incoherent, and those white under eyes. My oh my how did we get here?
Hate mail, terroristic threats against family members and actual attacks are the pattern. It’s mafia stuff. It’s Nazi stuff. It’s well established as a pattern. Anyone who challenges Trump has to go into hiding and the Republicans have made Ann Franks out of some of our finest people for telling the truth. We no longer have freedom of speech or opinion and they’re at work to shut down and discredit a free press.
If this is what it means to be American I wan’t no part of it.
I also don’t want to be part of it and would move to the land of my birth if I wasn’t so fucking old, and cognizant of the fact the UK has her own set of problems.
