Trump Unhappy That Cuomo’s Ratings Are Higher Than His

Regardless of your political inclinations, and what your opinion of Andrew Cuomo might be, one cannot deny that he is quite popular in New York for his response to the COVID19 crisis. In fact, current polling just released by Sienna polling reflects that the Governor of New York enjoys an 87% approval rating.
So, of course, not to be out-done by ANYONE, Donald J. Trump, the supposed president of this land, who has screwed up nearly every aspect and facet of the response to the crisis, told Fox News during a telephone interview the following:
“He’s gotten good marks,” Trump said. “I’ve gotten great marks. I’ve gotten great marks also.”
If you are wondering whether Trump is deluded, you would be fair in making that statement. But get this: He can’t stop here, can he? Oh, no! Not at all! He continued:
“One of the reasons his numbers are high on handling it is because of the Federal government. Because we give him ships, and we give him ventilators, and we give him all of the things that we’re giving him … We’re giving him four hospitals and four medical centers and all of the things that we’ve done. So, I mean, one of the things, and I think he’d admit this, one of the reasons he’s been successful, if I said, ‘No, we’re not giving you four hospitals, and we’re not giving you four medical centers, and we’re not sending you a ship,’ and we didn’t give them thousands of ventilators, by the way, and millions of masks, because we’ve sent them a lot of stuff, well one of the reasons he’s successful is because we’ve helped make him successful.”
What Trump leaves out of his explanation is how the governor of New York did not downplay the virus, nor tell everyone how everything was going to disappear and be like a miracle, nor call it a “Republican Hoax,” to make him look bad, nor told certain mayors that they had to express their affection or appreciation to him, lest his administration would be directed to cease talking with them. You see, he leaves these facts out.
Moreover, Trump also leaves out how the State of New York is still so short on supplies, extending from masks to PPE’S – Personal Protection Equipment – which allows physicians, nurses, and other health care workers to do their respective jobs of attending to the sick.
And one thing is FOR CERTAIN: Not one person in New York can complain they were not warned. As the Governor made clear just the other day: “What is going on here in New York IS coming your way.” Let’s be honest folks; That is a far cry away from the manner in which Trump has handled the national crisis.
Finally, I would be remiss to not point out that when four Americans tragically lost their lives in Benghazi, the conservatives in this nation lost their collective minds trying to pin that tragedy upon the former President. To no avail though, they ended up with nothing. Now? Over 3100 dead, and utter crickets from conservatives.
Now we have a CHILD occupying the Oval Office, accusing nurses of hoarding or stealing medical masks and equipment in New York, telling his Vice-President that “don’t bother calling the Governor of Michigan or Washington State because you are wasting your time,” and on top of all of this, is concerned about his ratings while people are dying due to his inattention to the very real threat we now face. Lest you have forgotten, Trump sent supplies to the Chinese in February and depleted nearly 70 tons of equipment from our National Stockpile. And who was he blaming? Yeah, that’s right: Barack Obama who clearly implemented a pandemic task force to deal with such a calamity, engaged in an exercise with the transition team, all for naught.
I would love to know how those who complained about the loss of those four American lives – tragic but given willingly to serve their nation – outweighs the loss of human life that can be directly pinned to Trump without consent no less, and his entire Administration, remain silent? How can you live with your hypocrisy? Oh, my bad! You have been doing so for years, so no big deal for you now, is it? That is until you or a loved one dies as a direct result of this manchild’s response to the crisis. And honestly: bragging about his popularity while others are dying due to his handling of this crisis just reinforces the very notion of this article.

I think I responded this useless fool once, but I don’t mind repeating myself. However, I do believe the other fine commentators have probably said everything that needs to be said. He is typical of the majority of the Trump supporters have been since he first ran for office. Most are like a driverless car careening down and interstate highway. Someone put it in gear before engaging the brain and it is just bouncing from one wreck to another one. Hopefully, the country can survive the series of fuck ups until someone with a brain can become a real president. Then these people with shit for brains can crawl back under their rocks for another 150 years.

Thanks for the great article Mark Bear. Everything you reported tRump said about helping Gov. Cuomo is not true. Just more lies that he is telling the American people everyday. Cuomo had asked for ventilators but only got a fraction of what he asked for. New York still does not have enough masks. Health care works are frightened for their own health because of the lack of protective equipment. And still tRump lies.
And just where are these hospitals and medical centers? Have they broken ground? Oh wait,they are taking sites and re-purposing them to be makeshift hospitals.
Cuomo has high numbers because he is a decent caring man doing everything he can to help the citizens of NY. Today Cuomo said he will not get into nitpicking with tRump. But once this is over and Trump can no longer withhold help from NY I hope Cuomo BLASTS THE POS.

tRump is now in front of the American people every day lying, lying many times in one day.
Example – he said today that people traveling by plane or train are tested before and after their trip.
Fact checking shows it’s not true. People are NOT being tested. Only some certain people are checked.
But he can say anything he wants and if people don’t take the time to check the facts, they will nod their heads and believe the POS.
I listen to Cuomo’s reports just about every single day, and he is so well center, what a public servant should be, if Cuomo was the president, we would be singing a different tune and I would be so proud to call him my president. Cuomo is been asking for ventilators, and this excuse of a human being reported there was no way NY needed so many. There is no comparison, no reason to waist our breath, I just hope Republicans are happy and aprove their president’s job, that’s is all I have to say, they deserve him, my father used to say in Spanish, “el que por su gusto muere hasta la muerte le sabe a gloria”.

The argument from popularity. You really should read up on fallacies – maybe start with Aristotle. Hitler was popular. The Spanish inquisition was popular. Mao Zedong is still popular.
The General public, by definition, is of mediocre intelligence and even the cheapest charlatan and purveyor of snake oil has been milking them since the beginning. You’re not even an amateur and since it’s obvious that anyone reading the above is capable of reading, you must truly be stupid – unless as has been suggested you’re a paid troublemaker.
Our Government was, as we all know, designed by educated liberal men at a time when such thought was spreading throughout Europe and its colonies.
