The president fired the entire emergency medical team that had been set up by the prior administration and did not replace them. Their sole job would have been to have us prepared for a medical emergency such as this. Since then, it has been nothing but speculation and guesswork on the part of the administration with few facts.
Trump in late February:
“Don’t worry about it. It will be gone by Spring”.
Trump In March:
“This Malaria drug (Hydroxychloroquine) is showing great promise as a cure for the virus”.
The CDC and other medical professionals said that there was no evidence that these drugs would impact the virus. Even the acting head of HHS has said that there has been no positive evidence that these drugs work. Trump is not a medical professional, nor do I expect him to be. I do, however, expect him to be truthful and stop worrying more about his election than the American people.
He has screwed up and stripped the country of some of its resources, but a good leader knows when to try to correct his mistakes. I do not blame him for the pandemic, but I do blame him for not being proactive when he was warned about it and his failure to pay attention to the coming storm cost thousands of lives and sickened hundreds of thousands of people.
He has yet to condemn the Senators who took advantage of secret COVID19 information and dumped stock to save themselves big money. Now, everyone can jump on me if they want to but just remember that everything I wrote here is verifiable. Let’s see if you can do the same.
