The pace of change online has unlocked countless new opportunities for users, placing entertainment, information, and shopping at our fingertips. But the explosion in choice has also served to confuse matters somewhat.

Whatever you’re looking for online, chances are you’ll be met with several brands eager to provide it to you. In this article, we will explore some of the key sectors online and help you make the best decisions.

Streaming

Faster internet speeds have made high-resolution video through your laptop, phone, or tablet a reality, with services like YouTube delivering millions upon millions of free videos, from tutorials to music clips and everything in between.

But there’s no shortage of premium services out there, including YouTube, whose own paid offering provides an ad-free experience and access to exclusive channels and content. Elsewhere, services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Apple TV, Disney+, and others claim to offer the best entertainment online.

So, how do you make sense of where to watch your favorite shows and movies? I found it hard to know which service to subscribe to, and whether or not I’d need more than one until I found a guide online. The classic TV Guide’s website contains a pretty in-depth walkthrough of what’s available across the most popular streaming services, all in one place.

The internet is a real playground of entertainment and there’s an array of gaming action available, whether that’s immersive action adventures and online multiplayer, or simple apps that can provide a little distraction for a couple of minutes.

The explosion in popularity of online casino gaming has provided added entertainment, but, much like streaming, it’s difficult to know where to start, with so many websites claiming to offer the best and latest games.

Bonus Finder helped put everything in order for me and not only see some of the biggest iGaming brands available, but also the offers up for grabs to new people. Until I came across the site, I was struggling to make sense of where to register and how to get all the details needed to make an informed decision.

Information

For many, the internet has replaced traditional newspapers and TV news as our primary source of information. Many of the leading newspapers have adapted their output to deliver content online, with some charging to read articles and watch videos with others offering it all for free.

But, much like in the world of entertainment, it can be difficult to navigate a very crowded conversation, especially when there are so many agendas being put forward by different news organizations.

This is where news aggregators are particularly helpful, as they pull together information from many different sources and present it all in one place. You can then choose which news outlet to engage with, and you may even consider reading the same news story from a range of perspectives to get a balanced view.

Apps like Pocket are optimized for mobile use and allow you to peruse news from across the internet, and even bookmark individual items and save them for later. Sifting through everything was hard work until I stumbled upon their platform.
