Say it Ain’t So—A Whining Trump Bats At BFF Lindsey Graham

Whoa! Say it ain’t so Lindsey, you silver-tongued Southern devil you!  Your bosom buddy said something nasty about you?

It’s true, relations between Trump and usual Senate ally and best friend Lindsey Graham appear to be fraying. On Thursday, in a series of tweets criticizing the Supreme Court’s rulings on his financial records, Trump, forever the whiner, insisted he is being treated far more harshly than previous presidents, especially President Obama. Waaaa!

“We have a totally corrupt previous Administration, including a President and Vice President who spied on my campaign, AND GOT CAUGHT…and nothing happens to them,” he wrote. As Politico notes, Trump then made a point to name Graham’s committee: “No Republican Senate Judiciary response.”

Graham has not responded to the presidential dig, but the criticism comes soon after Graham distanced himself from the president on other issues. The State counts five times in recent weeks in which the South Carolina senator publicly opposed Trump.

The most recent was when Graham defended NASCAR and Black driver Bubba Wallace from the president’s criticism. “I don’t think Bubba Wallace has anything to apologize for,” said Graham, who is up for re-election against Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison, a strong fundraiser.

Yep. With apologies to Bruce Springsteen, times are tough and gettin’ tougher for Trump and his fellow Republicans.  I suggest they turn out the lights and bolt the door, cause they best not go outside no more.  What do you think?  Are Lindsey and The Donald breaking up?

Garfield and McKinley too. Altogether 30 attempts have been made – and Obama? Seems the doctrine was to oppose absolutely everything, even when that meant breaking constitutional law. Bullies are babies, but I think it’s too late for Mr. Graham to distance himself from Trump. I don’t think he can run that fast or far.
