Songs of the Pandemic

There have been all sorts of signs, some very clever and some not so much, advising people to protect themselves from the COVID-19 pandemic.  One such sign I saw featured a caricature of Queen’s Freddie Mercury with the words, “No Mask On Your Face, A Big Disgrace”.  Of course, my first thought was that there was a whole lot more song to go.

Songs From The Pandemic #02 – We Will Pox You, We Will Rock You by Queen, 1977)

Buddy you’re a boy think you’re immune
Playing in the street be disease vector some day
There’s no mask on your face
You big disgrace
Sprayin’ your mist all over the place

Singin’

We will we will pox you
We will we will pox you

Buddy you’re a young man hard man
Shouting in the street gonna spread that virus all day
You got no mask on your face
You big disgrace
Sprayin’ your mist all over the place

We will we will pox you
Singin’
We will we will pox you

Buddy you’re an old man poor man
Wheezing with your lungs fulla fluid today
You got a vent on your face
Big disgrace
That virus has put you back into your place

We will we will pox you
Singin’
We will we will pox you
Everybody
We will we will pox you
We will we will pox you
Alright
