Trump always does what he perceives to be in his own interests (financial, attention seeking, maintaining power), regardless of the consequences to others or the collateral damage inflicted on America. His supporters believe he acts in their best interests. That only occurs, however, when their interests happen to align with his.
You know why don’t you. The GOP has been taught not to think for itself but to only mimic what it’s leaders do and say. But, alas, Trump is simply trying to tear down Democracy and replace it with Royalty. He keeps mentioning a coup and they don’t know exactly what that is.
He does keep mentioning a coup, and, for the first time in my life, I expect an attempt will be made to keep him in office. It will fail.
