What the Deplorable News Outlets Say About Trump’s Phone Call
After the Washington Post came out with its scoop about President Trump’s phone call to Georgia election officials, critics accused him of running afoul of the law. But Trump’s supporters see things much differently. Two examples of positive coverage:
- Newsmax notes that the Post, referring to Trump’s conversation with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, asserted that the president “repeatedly urged him to alter the outcome of the presidential vote in the state.” But “this claim is false,” reads the Newsmax story. Instead, “the transcript of the call shows Trump demanding an honest accounting of the ballots, which he says would give him more than 11,000 votes.” The story goes through examples it says buttresses this assessment, concluding in its headline that the “President Acted Properly.”
- A piece at the National Pulse strikes a similar chord. “Throughout the call, the President makes clear that his calls are for election transparency, full and transparent audits, and public access,” reads the story, which lauds Trump for being well versed in the details. “At no point does the President imply he wants votes invented or confected, as the establishment media is portraying.”
- Counterpoint: No to all of that above, writes David Frum in the Atlantic. “Trump is abusing the power of the presidency until his last hour in office,” he writes. Only a jury can say for sure whether what Trump did is a crime in regard to election tampering, he adds. But it’s clear that Trump “will not let the chapter quietly close. Show him a red line, and he will cross it. And if the country’s red lines are to be reestablished, Trump will have to face the law he violated and violated and violated again.”

Trump did say in the early nineties that if he ran it would be as a republican because they’re stupid.
I love the irony here though. Senator Perdue is outraged that the phone call was leaked even though Trump said he loved Wikileaks multiple times during the 2020 campaign. Too bad my fellow republicans can’t recognize good irony. They see it as high minded debate and alternative truth. Which is a nice way of saying republicans are stupid. If nothing else I can agree with Trump on that point.
Of course they think we’re stupid. They need to have a scapegoat because everyone knows who is stupid here and their artificial environment allows them to ridicule people and ideas they can’t understand. Just had a loser on Facebook call me stupid because I wasn’t smart enough to know there was no collusion and because Michael Steele. I’m not about to become a mass murderer at my age, but you know the temptation is there.
You know there will be no consequences for him, right? 30 years from now, whatever Führer is running the show, Trump would have been framed by the radical left. . .
Even a couple of senators have said he was only trying to tell the Secy of State there he missed some stuff and only needs to re do the count and he will see tRump is correct. I actually wonder how they have survived this long being that stupid. Kent used to always say stupidity should be painful because there would be less of it in the world, if that were the case.
I think they think we’re stupid. They know what Trump did, and why he did it, and it certainly wasn’t some tame suggestion of redoing the count.
