Robots Are Racist Because They Are Made By White People

Read Time:3 Minute, 10 Second

by Hunter Steele

I can’t make this nonsense up.  It’s happening today, as we speak, and silliness such as W. Kamau Bell’s latest pronunciations about artificial intelligence simply make the mind reel with the madness of political correctness, because millions will believe it.

According to Bell, a ‘comedian’ who uses race as his foil claims that since robots are made by white people, they must be racists, because, well, you know, white people. I wouldn’t have even seen this if CNN hadn’t been showing clips all day of Bell’s special, United Shades of America, an episodic and some say humorous look at why all white people hate black people, and the many reasons why they do.

It occurs to me as I write this that even talking about race could designate me as a racist, because I’m white, and being white in America is often painted as bad, and any discussion of race, unless favorable to non-whites, is even worse.  I cannot, however, in good conscience, and yes, I know I’m white therefore I don’t have a conscience, keep quiet about this growing movement to condemn all things white and applaud all things non-white.

Yet another example of a world gone wild with political correctness is the story of the Rutgers Law student who, while directly quoting a 1993 supreme court case, used the word ‘n*****s’ in the context as it was used in the court and written by the judge as what the defendant, who was black, actually said while testifying.

Well, take deep breaths folks, because the country was rocked by this horror, no doubt perpetrated by white people upon non-white people with intent to cause great harm and distress to the non-white listener, at least according to the news media such as CNN.

The poor law student, who was just doing what she had been told to do, as in presenting a decision decided by the state supreme court, has been lambasted in social media and declared a racist, something which may well ruin her life, even though she clearly prefaced her remarks, warning other students of the presence of a word that some might find offensive, but was still in the court transcript.

Then there was Jeffrey Toobin, once upon a time darling of the prestigious New Yorker Magazine, and chief legal analyst for CNN, as well as the author of lots of bestsellers.   It seems following a Zoom call with other members of New Yorker staff, he elected to take out his tiny Toobin, give it a quick pet, and throw a kiss to someone other than those attending the meeting, all the while thinking his camera was off.

Retribution was swift for Mr. Toobin, as he was fired after 27 years from the New Yorker, and suspended by CNN, as well as losing various book and TV options, including the popular streaming series “The Undoing.”  Even those who participated in the meeting thought that was just a little too much, rather like being given the death penalty for taking a long lunch break and being seen tumbling about with a ‘friend.’

The point of this story, however, is the fact that he wasn’t immediately fired from CNN, which angered many on the Left, who complained that he wasn’t fired because he was just another privileged white guy.

Mr. Toobin, however, may not want anyone’s pity. Amid the 2018 Supreme Court confirmation process for Justice Brett Kavanaugh, the journalist scoffed on CNN at Republicans who said white men, as a demographic, were being mistreated. “Garbage,” Mr. Toobin said. “All this whining about the poor plight of white men is ridiculous.”

It’s just ridiculous.

If you fight back too hard against the ‘wokes’ you can suffer consequences, like losing your job. One has to be careful. In addition, not all are cut from the same cloth. Like the crazies in the UK, who support far-out fringe theories such as those subscribed by the former UKIP, we in the US have our fanatics. Fortunately, they are on the edges of political and cultural civilization, but annoying nonetheless.

The question remains if/when will it all end? Perhaps when the aliens finally come down to earth to tell us how they are going to fuck us up if we don’t behave? Who knows? Nice to see you back Hunter. It’s been a while.

I’ve not seen W. Kamau but I have read, incidentally, some of the stuff he’s written, and I guess it’s just not my kind of humor because ‘funny’ would be the last way I would describe it.
