When A Maskless, Coughing Republican Is No Longer A Threat

Traffic is picking up. I never thought I’d say that’s a good thing, but it is. People are going out. Stores and restaurants are doing business again. Last week, my wife and I celebrated our 27th anniversary at a real-live restaurant. Our first restaurant meal in 15 months.

I’m immune and it feels so good. A maskless, coughing, Republican is no longer a threat. I’m all, go ahead and breathe on me, Bruh. I got me an armload full o’ #BidenVax.

It feels almost like America didn’t punch a giant hole in the fabric of space-time, back in ’16. It feels like the “Evil Biff” timeline never even happened at all. Trump gave one of his Big-Lie rallies a few days ago. He spoke to a crowd of 10s. And even they were bored. The loudest and most heartfelt applause was his own.

I hate to piss all over your “America’s-back-baby” parade, but 2022 isn’t as far off as it feels. The Hate-and-Lies party is working feverishly to regain their minority rule and finish the job of burning down the country. We might have won a battle, but the war isn’t over. Now’s the time to start thinking about fighting them – again – at the ballot box.

And you’re gonna have to make plans because voting Blue will be almost impossible this time around. One solution would be for all of us to change our registrations to Republican. I know it’s hard. It’s like taking your own stool sample to avoid a colonoscopy. Nobody wants to do it, but it beats the alternative.

Then, when they think we’re all Republicans they’ll let us into the polls, and we pull the ol’ switcheroo and vote for decent governance.

It could happen.
