Arizona Vote Recount Belies Trump’s Big Lie But It Ain’t Over…

According to the AP, on Friday, Arizona election officials announced they had identified a mere 182 cases of potential voter fraud among the 3.4 million ballots cast in the 2020 presidential election.

Of those 182 cases only four have led to charges against those involved, and no one has been convicted. That’s .005 percent of the votes cast.

Laughingly, two of the four cases that resulted in charges were Democratic voters while the other two were Republican. Naturally, Joe Biden clearly won the state’s Electoral College votes. The audit funded by MAGA nutters necessitates that Arizona scraps and replaces the voting machines tainted by the investigation.

The count undercuts the accusations of widespread fraud made by Donald Trump, although he is demanding the release of the report as he feels manipulated data will be beneficial to him.

Republicans across the country have used Trump’s lies as political cudgels to push laws through state legislatures that experts say will restrict access to voting and depress turnout.  Despite the AZ recount, that won’t end anytime soon.

Unfortunately, for rational thinking people, it ain’t over until the lying Trump cultist releases his report.

It is ironic that as we have pressured other nations, particularly third world nations, to become more democratic we have trusted ourselves to oversee their elections. I guess we now need them to come in and oversee our elections. and this is all because of one spoiled brat stomping his feet and crying because he did not get his way.
