Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls Cops On Jimmy Kimmel For ‘Slap’ Joke

Read Time:1 Minute, 22 Second

Deep South Georgia’s congressperson Marjorie Taylor Greene was seriously pissed off at Jimmy Kimmel’s suggestion that Will Smith could deal with the “Klan mom.”

He went on to joke:

“Wow, where is Will Smith when you really need him?”

Kimmel joked after reading Greene’s tweet on Jimmy Kimmel Live, referring to the moment Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock at last month’s Oscars.

In a Wednesday tweet, the QAnon GOP congresswoman said she had referred the late-night host to Capitol Police for “this threat of violence against me.” Kimmel had dedicated part of his Tuesday monologue to Greene, who’d described Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, and Mitt Romney of Utah as “pro-pedophile” for their support of Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination.

MTG tweeted out Kimmel’s funny clip on Wednesday, adding she had reported the host to Capitol Police (gasp). The latter “recently sought to bolster its response to violent threats against lawmakers” following the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, per Insider. It’s unclear, however, if officers will consider the late-night comedian’s statement as a legitimate threat. Let’s hope not because that would just be another tumble down the GOP rabbit hole.

Greene, of course, is guilty of hypocrisy, given that she “has repeatedly brushed off and at times defended the violence at the Capitol last Jan. 6.”

A rep for Greene’s office tells Insider that it “takes all threats of violence towards the Congresswoman very seriously” and Kimmel’s call “for violence to be committed against Congresswoman Greene … will not be tolerated.”

Kimmel responded in a Wednesday tweet: “Officer? I would like to report a joke.” LOL LOL

[…] has the exception as Representative Marjorie feels threatened enough to call the police because Jimmy Kimmel mocked her with a joke. Poor dear. […]

If there’s a textbook about grade school bullies, I’m sure it mentions the self-righteous sensitivity of the kid who steals lunch money and trips other kids in the halls. They invariably cry if they’re caught, blaming the victims for persecuting him. She’s one of a number of her party whose “personalities” are well into the pathological zone much to the delight of other should-be mental patients and enemies of law, order, civilization and decency itself.

Is there anyone smart enough in the GOP to understand satire. And what about free speech? How soon they forget the “jokes” about President Obama with a noose around his neck or the threats of violence against his daughters. Waa! Waa! Marjorie!

I have a file of truly disturbing images taken from Republican sources on the web. None would be tolerated for a moment if they appeared today on social media – where they came from

We know whose free speech they wabt to protect. The rest should be suppressed. No doubt the GOP learned these tactics at Putin’s knee.
