An Anasazi Ruin High In The Sky
Hi folks – A few days ago Mr. Holte Ender asked if I would like to contribute to Mad Mikes America. I said yes and am humbled by the offer.
As a first post I’d like to contribute a video my bud and I did last March in the Valley of the Gods which is near Bluff, UT. Something we found some 16 or so years ago having always wanting to revisit and document. Finally were able to accomplish that.
I/we are not movie makers but we do try and even surprised ourselves with this one. Want you to know we did not disturb or enter this site in any way. We also are planning on going back this fall to explore this from a different direction. I can’t wait actually.
So here ya go and thank you Mad Mikes America for giving me the opportunity to be part of this great site.

Excellent photography taken. What is it about the desert that seems so meditative and serene. Just looking at the pictures makes you rethink priorities. (especially if you aren’t in the heat)
Thanks Krell-I missed this.
I don’t know the answer to your query.but there is a presence there it seems and it does have some to do with tranquility.
Not so much though when bunches of black flies are chomping on you.
Beautiful photography, One Fly. Thank you.
Thank you for that osori. Many times I’ve said if you take enough it’s like a dog in that every once in awhile he gets a bone.

Christ almighty. Ever since a painting accident when I learned what it was like to free fall from two-stories up, I’ve had this thing about heights. Very cool, though.
Thanks Eagle-eye, One Fly, and welcome, sir.
Appreciate that kind comment Lawyer. I am very uncomfortable with heights and as time goes on tend to stay away if possible. For some reason this did not bother me in the slightest and wasn’t as close as it may have looked.
I should say there is a decent possibility if the second visit is accomplished it has a chance to rival this. It may be a trail of pottery out to this from a different direction. Maybe—
Nice one…er…One Fly!
Welcome to MMA old bean. Enjoy!
…and more of this please!
Appreciate that fourdinners. Truth of the matter is that this one will be hard to top. There are some others that are kinda cool but not like this.
It looks great Fly, wish I lived closer, I go with you this fall.
I just hope the second time comes together. Really don’t want to do it alone. There’s places now I don’t go to fishing just because one misstep and you’re not going to make it home at all.
Beautiful!! Welcome One Fly!
I’m glad to be part of this Mike — thank you for that!
You are more than welcome…..
