This article contains language that some may find offensive. If that is the case for you, just don’t read the fucking thing but hang about and think about stuff for at least 30 seconds before traveling on.
I like to hang with my dogs, Axel, Tango, and Piper and watch TV in the evening when everything is nice and quiet—click the link to read the first installment of Four Candid and Pithy TV Reviews.
Here is what I’ve been watching:
A movie you will want to miss: The End Where We Start From. Amazon Prime ($5.99). Our Pithy Review Rating: really fucking bad.
A bingeable, limited four-episode series you will not want to miss: The Signal. Netflix. Our Pithy Review Rating: really fucking good.
You should not miss the 8-episode bingeable series (Season 2 on the way): The Serpent Queen. Starz, Amazon Prime (Free), Sling, Roku, Vudu, Apple TV. Our Pithy Review Rating: really fucking awesome.
The seven-episode series that is imminently bingeable: The Red Queen. Amazon Prime (free). Our Pithy Review Rating: really fucking awesome.
If you want more in-depth reviews, check out those written by actual reviewer-type folks. They don’t do pithy and will give you an up close and personal look at these shows. They also don’t conclude by saying a show is really fucking awesome.
About the author: Professor Mike is an author and editor who also writes on his website, MadMikesAmerica and Substack. He wrote American Gothic. It’s really fucking good.
