Daring Dog Plays Defense at Brazil Soccer Game

Read Time:27 Second

A soccer match between Remo and Paysandu of Brazil’s lower leagues, the Belém clássico, was joined by a playful dog charging into the box during a scoring chance in the 85th minute.

The sports-minded canine may not have gotten a paw on the ball, but he surely cramped the left-footed Remo player’s shot just enough to make sure the match remained scoreless.

Watch the video as the adorable pup trots off the field.  Clearly this happy guy just wants to play.

Jess, I had to pull out the Kleenex for the boy and his dog! A beautiful story.

I know right. Got it from a friend this morning and my husband heard me crying going, what is it you have seen now. I blame dust and all manner of things because I don’t want my reputation being ruined 🙂

Hey, that’s better defense than the Broncos showed a couple weeks ago 🙂

Quick, get this dog an agent. Someone will want to sign him. Come to think of it, I’ll be his agent.

You can be my little fetching cat’s agent if you want. My min pin has been tossing balls in the air and the cat catches them.

The cat will have to be able to bat the ball into a goal. Either that or learn to play goalie and prevent balls from going into the goal.

As you can see, it’s a complicated game. You put the ball in the goal or prevent someone else from doing it.

It also helps if you’re good at faking injuries. Has the cat had any acting classes?

I told you that futebol is the #1 anything in Brazil. Even the dogs play and play pretty well. Maybe there will be a division for them in the World Cup?
