Foul Language, Violence, Ignorance and Stupidity? BAH

Maybe there’s something wrong with me. All the crap going on and for the most part, it doesn’t really raise my ire all that much.
Bigoted law that panders to bigoted voters in Arizona and everyone is shocked. I’m not. That’s what the righties do to win elections. They pander to one of their base voting groups. This time the bigots. Why be shocked anymore? My shock would just give them pleasure. Not much different from me being happy I pissed off a righty today.
Republicans block debate on Wall Street reform three times before finally figuring out that even bigots, homophobes and idiots want it. I guess they had to check in with Homophobic Bigoted Idiot Central before deciding to stop blocking the debate. I wasn’t shocked. That’s what they always do. If Mitch McConnell stood up and told the bigots, idiots and homophobes to get the hell out of the Republican Party, that would be shocking.
President Obama was in my hometown of Quincy, Ill. yesterday. The turnout and reception were great. That was mildly shocking because our local media gives tons of attention to the tea baggers. Kind of like a little “FOX News” propaganda machine for them. Of course, tea baggers from four states showed up to protest outside the convention hall where President Obama was speaking. No shock there. They held up ignorant signs. That was no shock. The funniest one said “Freedom isn’t free. Lower taxes now!” We’ve seen enough ridiculous signs from tea baggers that that wasn’t shocking. Stupid and disingenuous, yes. Shocking? Nah.
Recently a video of an angry tea bagger accusing a cameraman of being a communist has been posted on several blogs. This nut tried to get his tea bagging friends to join him in a chant of “Death to the commies!”
Then he threatened to shove his flag up the cameraman’s posterior. Many were offended and shocked that a tea bagger would get so worked up by an imaginary bogeyman that he would go ape shit and want to shove a flag up a guy’s ass. I wasn’t shocked by that. Senator Lindsay Graham wasn’t shocked either. Word is he wants to meet the angry tea bagger.

Joe I’ve got to take mild exception to one thing in an otherwise great post. You mentioned a sign displaying the words ““Freedom isn’t free. Lower taxes now!”.
Notice anything odd? NONE of the words are misspelled !

So, Lindsay Graham is a closet Teabagger, I always thought he was, him professing a love of flags confirms my suspicions.
You’re right Truth, if the right thing or things, would get said and done, that would be shocking. If McConnell told the bigots, homophobes, etc., to get out of the Republican Party, he would have to kick himself out.
Just tell the repubs that we’re blowing them up over there so Arpaio won’t have to blow them up over here and you might be on to something Randal.
The goopers and their affiliates sure do talk a lot about shoving things up asses and being forced to bend over. If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear they were hypocritical, closeted self-loathers.
The Dums should tell them that if taxes go up, they’ll have more money to blow up overseas brown people. Get a Hollywood FX house to toss some crap on the tube before reality TV comes on, shuffle the loot into universal healthcare, et voila.
I am still disturbed by the behavior of the Baggers, but not as much as I once was. I am becoming immune to their ignorance. Great dog picture by the way. A perfect fit to the post.
The longer that legislation is held up, the longer lobbyists will pander to those doing the most to stymie reform. The Repugs have had to do a bit of political calculus to see if the money from lobbyists is worth the loss of public opinion. We really need to reform the laws on lobbying, or else reform on any other subject is still going to be dictated by the highest bidder.
