Alan Grayson: Boozing Republicans Violent and Abusive Toward America

Read Time:1 Minute, 0 Second

The wacked out House Republicans have been called a lot of things, most of them deserved, but Democrat Alan Grayson may have struck the unkindest, albeit accurate blow of all.

In an interview with Salon, the controversial liberal from Florida says they’re drinking on the job. It’s “been a problem all year long,” he says. “It’s a fact we all have to live with, and it’s making them violent and abusive towards America.” Though Grayson isn’t exactly known for subtlety, he did, however, refuse to name names.

He cited “a number of public reports that you can smell alcohol on their breath as they’re voting gleefully to shut down the government and create chaos.” He’s presumably referring to an eyebrow-raising tweet on Saturday by Politico reporter Ginger Gibson. “I’m not over exaggerating when I say I can smell the booze wafting from members as they walk off the floor,” she wrote. John Boehner’s office did not comment on Grayson’s allegations. The horror? Eh, a Huffington Post piece notes that imbibing inside the Capitol building is most definitely a bipartisan affair.

Breathalyzers at all entrances to the Capitol!

Boehner wouldn’t make it to ANY sessions, methinks.
How about a nice glass of Merlot?

If athletes need to be tested for drugs, then so should politicians before they make life changing decisions for people. Only problem is that most of the politicians in Congress wouldn’t be allowed into the House.

Rick, you would think that when these clowns were on the job they would abstain from the booze. Maybe it is liquid courage they are using to be so “brave” with other people’s lives.

Having had a drink doesn’t mean you’re drunk. Being a Republican does mean you’re stupid, uncaring, and crazy though.

As Albert Einstein said, “Never attribute evil intent to that which can be explained by simple stupidity.”
