Trump Openly Says He Won’t Vacate White House

At the White House presser today, there was the usual daily dose of Trump insanity on display. But two things stuck out, as Trump looks more and more desperate to hold on to power, while his poll numbers continue to slide.
On a question about a peaceful transfer of power, trump essentially said No!
A reporter asked — “Mr. President, real quick, win, lose or draw in this election, will you commit here today for a peaceful transfer of power after the election?”
Trump answered –
- Well, we’re going to have to see what happens.
- I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots and the ballots are a disaster and
- Get rid of the ballots and you’ll have a very trans — we’ll have a very peaceful ..
- There won’t be a transfer, frankly, there’ll be a continuation
- The ballots are out of control. You know it. And you know who knows it better than anybody else? The Democrats know it better than anybody else.
- The reporter interjected — I don’t know that
On the face of it, this may sound like empty bluster. But within the context of all the other news such as the SCOTUS appointment before election day, about declaring a winner on November 3, about the sabotaging of the USPS and suppressing mail-in ballots, about sending the military and militia to cities and using sedition laws to punish protesters, about red states possibly conspiring to toss away the popular vote and attempts to strip away the FDA’s authority to make decisions on the vaccine, this is another ominous sign that trump and republicans are not going to accept defeat and they will bend every rule and use every dirty trick to keep their power.
Yesterday, Trump made it quite clear why he wants to fill RBG’s seat before the election — so that the conservative SCOTUS can hand him the presidency.

The People don’t want a crybaby lunatic in the White House
They might end up using the army. Trump has built a following that won’t hesitate to use violence to keep their God-King in office.
They don’t think us dirty libtards can meet violence with violence should it come to blows. I am truly a pacifist at heart but I have been known to jump in when friends have had run ins with violence aimed at them.
The Capitol police and or secret service will escort him out the building Jan 20th at noon if they honor their oaths, either standing or face down with cuffs. I’m there for any one of those things.
I am guessing it will be the U.S. Marshals since they carry out the orders of the court.
I defer to you on that since I am ignorant of all the different law enforcement rules and who does what.
He’ll vacate the WH. One day he will just go away. It will be like magic, he’ll just go away…
In a way I almost hope he tries something like that so he can be put away for life, but in jail he would be a liability.
As to a Conservative Court – I think we have to stop calling Trumpism Conservative. This isn’t about tax brackets or debt or that old time stuff. This is about Kings by divine right and government by churches. It’s treason by any conservative definition
Glenn, when you are right, you are right. This is very similar thinking to those in Syria who still support Bashar Hafiz Al Assad. There are those whose financial interest that drives them, tribal factions, and ignorance. The Republican party used to stand for patriotism, now it is truly the same as the Nazi party. The Republicans are about taking over the country and we may well be seeing the end of Democracy and of the Republic as we have known it.
